Your request will be answered in the order that it is received. During busy times, please allow up to 24 hours for a response. You can contact us by phone at 231-271-5226, Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.

Merchandise Return Policy


Hats and Haberdashery accepts returned merchandise that bears no sign of damage or wear. Merchandise may be returned for exchange, credit, or refund within 14 days of the purchase date for the full purchase price excluding shipping charges. All sales are final on special orders and certain sale items that are clearly marked “Final Sale” or “All Sales Final”. See full return instructions below.


Return Policy Details

1. All merchandise returns and exchanges require a Return Authorization Number (RA#) You can receive your RA # by email customercare@hatsandhaberdashery.com or by phone at 231-271-5226. Please note that email is the most efficient and fastest way to obtain the required number.
2. Merchandise may be returned for exchange or refund within 14 days of purchase for the full purchase price excluding shipping charges.
3. Absolutely no returns will be accepted after the allowed 14 days.
4. Returned merchandise must bear no signs of use, damage, wear, or washing. Care must be taken to keep all perfumes, lotions, deodorants, cigarette smoke, excessive lint or dust, and animal hair away from the ordered items. If it is determined that the merchandise does not qualify for a return, it will be sent back to you at your expense.
5. All tags must remain in place on the merchandise.
6. All sales are final on special orders.
7. Some sale items are not returnable, there will be a note stating this on the item’s description page.

Instructions for Returns


1. In order to complete a return you’ll need to contact customer service via email or phone for a RA# (Return Authorization Number) prior to sending any returns. Returns received without prior authorization will be refusal by our shipping department.


2. Please complete the Return Form which will be enclosed with your order.
3. Place the Return Form and the item to be returned in a box or envelope comparable to the one you received your order in, be sure all tags and garment accessories remain attached and mail or ship your return to the address provided below.


4. Write your RA# on the outside of your shipping box. Returns received with no RA# on the outside of the box may result in the box being refused by the returns department.


5. It is advisable to insure your package as refunds are not issued for items lost or damaged in shipping.
6. Return shipping and handling is not refundable.

Merchandise Exchanges


If you wish to make a return for exchange, the shipping is free for customers in the US. Free exchange shipping is not available for our international customers.

Special Return Requirements


If an item's description page states that it has “special return requirements”, they are as follows:



1. The customer must contact Hats and Haberdashery via phone or email within 24 hours of receiving the order with a determination as to whether or not the item will be kept or returned. Failure to contact us will result in forfeiture of the right to return. 



2. When trying on merchandise, extra care must be taken to keep all perfumes, lotions, deodorants, cigarette smoke, excessive lint or dust, and animal hair away from the garment. In addition, shoes and jewelry should also be removed before trying on.

Price Adjustments

Most sales are not eligible for price adjustments.  If a price adjustment is offered and you have recently purchased items that are currently on sale, we offer you a price adjustment if the original date of purchase (regardless of the date received) was within 7 days of the sale offering.
